Ingo Taleb Rashid

The director of El Haddawi, a school for integrative bodywork, head of the Naqshbandi-Rashidiya Sufi tradition, and founder of Movement Concept, a teaching and learning system that incorporates many years of study in the following areas: modern dance, traditional movement and meditation forms from the Middle East, theater studies, classical Japanese martial arts, Butoh dance, Noh theater, Feldenkrais method, capoeira, modern dance, and classical ballet.
 

He lived in Japan, where he made many friends and discovered fascinating places rich in culture, spirituality, and history. His time there allowed to experience Japan in a way unavailable to the average tourist—off the beaten track, immersing myself deeply in the essence of the country.

Trip itinerary

23rd-25th August: Kamakura

We begin our journey in Kamakura/Ofuna, home to The Great Buddha (Daibutsu).

In Yokohama, we visit the legendary dance studio of Kazuo Ohno, one of the pioneers of avant-garde Butoh dance.
Yokohama’s Chinatown, one of the largest in Japan, is famous for its vibrant festivals, bustling markets, and exquisite cuisine.

In the dynamic capital of Tokyo, we will witness traditional Japanese swordsmanship in authentic dojos and experience mesmerizing dance performances that blend classical and modern elements.

25th-26th August: Nagano

​In Nagano and Togakushi, breathtaking natural landscapes invite visitors to hike and unwind. Togakushi is also known for its Ninja heritage, featuring a Ninja Museum that brings this history to life.

27th-31rd August: Shimokita Peninsula

Osore-san is a mystical mountain regarded as a sacred site for shamans. According to folklore, it is believed to be a gateway to the world of the dead.

1st - 6th September: Ichikawa

Our final destination is the Onjuin Temple in Ichikawa, where visitors can immerse themselves in Buddhist practice and experience Japan’s rich spiritual traditions.
 

Expenses

The seminar costs 1,000 euros per person. 

Other expenses: international flight, hotel (40-60 EUR per night), trains, meals, museum entrance fees etc.               

                                                      


The journey’s success depends upon the self-responsibility of the participants. Unexpected expenses are to be expected. All costs that are not paid in advance will be paid on balance on location. Each participant is responsible for him/herself.
